Ozone is particularly effective against micro-organisms including fungi, yeasts, algae, (flu) viruses and bacteria such as legionella, salmonella, Escherichia coli and MRSA.

The ozone produced by SANYMO3 comes into contact with the cell wall of the bacteria creating an oxidative reaction, the cell wall is perforated and the bacteria cannot survive. In the case of viruses, the protein coat is compromised by the ozone making it impossible for the virus to reproduce, effectively incapacitating the virus.
