Storing drinking water leads to contamination within days. Bacteria develop and harm your health. UV lamps disrupt the transfer of genetic information and the germs die.

The UV lamp consists of a submersible tube encased by special quartz glass and an electronic control gear used for controlling the power supply. Waterproof power connectors and a compact size allow its use as a submersible lamp in fresh water tanks. The UV lamp is activated every 4 hours for 15 minutes. This short amount of time is sufficient to disrupt the transfer of DNA during cell division so that the bacteria die. Sterilisation performance tested and proven by the Hygiene Institute of the University of Heidelberg.
