The DTU dongle adds a Bluetooth interface to the M12 series batteries. It offers clear advantages over internal solutions, as it can be installed away from the battery for better transmission and reception performance. If you have multiple batteries, only one dongle is required. Mutual signal interference is thus ruled out, and only one connection is established with the app. The DTU is not necessary when using displays with Bluetooth.
