A hut sleeping bag is a very thin sleeping bag without filling that is used as a hygienic sleeping pad for overnight stays in mountain huts or youth hostels, for example. The hut sleeping bag protects against direct contact with soiled mattresses, duvets, pillows and covers and can be transported compactly in a rucksack.

A hut sleeping bag is usually mandatory in mountain huts, as duvets and duvet and pillow covers are either missing or are not washed daily.

However, they also serve as an ideal addition to your sleeping bag. If the temperature drops unexpectedly, you can still sleep comfortably and warmly in a summer sleeping bag.
