Cyrix Parallel relay 120 A Victron
The Cyrix-CT 12/24 is a battery paralleler that is able to connect the services battery to the starter battery via the automatic switch. The Cyrix-CT automatically detects the system voltage. When the combiner detects that the starter battery has reached theconnection voltage, it is activated so that the services battery can be charged in parallel. It also does not need a D+ signal from the alternator, because it is activated based on the battery voltage and automatically connects or disconnects. The paralleller is able to interrupt the connection in the event of excessive contact temperature, and reactivates it after they have cooled down.
• The Cyrix-CT 12/24 has a dual power supply, which allows bidirectional sensing of voltage and power from both batteries. The Cryix-CT senses the voltage of both batteries. It will therefore activate if, for example, the services battery is under charger.
• It is equipped with StartAssist, which allows parallel connection in an emergency. It can be activated by pressing a button (Cyrix remains active for 30 seconds) or with a switch to connect the batteries in parallel manually. This function is very useful in an emergency, for example when the starter battery is discharged or damaged.Installation:1) Disconnect the minus of both batteries2) Place the Cyrix-ct closest to the starter battery3) Connect the + of the batteries to the brass bolts of the Cyrix-ct.4) Install a fuse in series (photo 2).5) The fuse should be sized according to the wire cross-section used, but not exceed 120 A.6) Connect the minus of the Cyrix-ct "battery -" (86) and reconnect the minus of both batteries.
