The Nemo DM1245 DC-DC charger is designed to charge the auxiliary (service) battery from the engine alternator on a boat or car. The nominal input and output voltage is 12 V. The maximum output current is 45A.

Advantages

• Extends the life and protects the battery. Suitable for AGM, gel, liquid-acid and lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. Each battery type can be set to its own charging mode, meaning that the battery will be charged in the mode recommended by the manufacturer
• Rapid battery charging. The device uses the excess power of the engine generator to quickly and correctly charge the secondary battery while driving. The unit's output voltage is dependent on the state of the battery, rather than the alternator voltage, which can increase when braking and decrease when accelerating the vehicle. As a result, the DM1245 can quickly regenerate the secondary battery for short distances and charge it to 100% on longer journeys.
• Suitable for lithium-iron (LiFePO4) batteries. Ability to activate a battery that has been disconnected by the BMS. The charging algorithm takes into account not only the voltage of the battery, but also its temperature. When the temperature is low, the unit stops charging to prevent damage to the battery.
• Isolates the starter battery and the service battery. Prevents the batteries from discharging into each other. Guarantees engine starting as it can automatically charge the starter battery from an additional battery when stationary.
• Temperature sensor included. Temperature is a key factor for proper charging. It is easy to damage the battery if you do not take the temperature into account during charging, as the manufacturer's recommended voltages only apply at 20 ℃-25 ℃. The temperature sensor measures the temperature of the battery and automatically adjusts the device so that it can charge batteries correctly in all conditions.
