What it is for
CAM 440E adds a second viewpoint to a CAM 440 system. Typical positions are the lower rear under a bike rack or tail lift, or the side of the vehicle for narrow gates.
It is not a stand-alone starter kit: you need CAM 440 with its harness and cables. Both cameras share the same dual-view function.
Switching between cameras and between close and far view outside reverse needs the CAM 440CS switch.
Installation notes
- Fit the ball camera where you need the second view, following the CAM 440 / CAM 440E manual.
- Plug it into the prepared CAM 440 harness - you do not add a separate 20 m cable.
- Set AHD or CVBS to match the main camera and the monitor.
- Supply 12/24 V DC within 10-32 V, max. 2 W.
- After fitting, check camera and view switching with CAM 440CS if you have it.

CAM 440E versus CAM 440
CAM 440E is an Extra add-on module, not an Ethernet version. It shares the CAM 440 dual-view optics but ships without the 20 m and 5 m cables - those are in the basic set. If you start from scratch, begin with CAM 440.
Safe use
- A rear-view system is only an aid. It does not replace careful reversing.
- Operating temperature: -30 to +70°C.
- IP69K housing - seal mounting holes as the manual describes.
- ECE-R10 approval covers the device; road-traffic rules still apply.
Care
Wipe the lens with a soft, damp cloth without aggressive solvents. Keep connectors dry and clean. After washing the vehicle, check the mounting seal.
