The HSC removal key (marked REMOVABLE on the head) is used to take lock cylinders out of HSC system locks in motorhomes and caravans. It is handy when you lose the key to one lock, want to replace a worn cylinder or set all locks to one key. The key is made of metal, measures 55 x 23 x 3 mm and weighs 18 g.

How to replace a cylinder

  • open the lock with its original key
  • remove the key and insert the HSC removal key
  • pull the cylinder out of the lock
  • insert the new HSC cylinder and check the lock with its key

Good to know

  • the key fits HSC system cylinders, not other lock systems
  • it cannot open a lock without the original key - it is not a master key
  • if the housing is dirty or damaged, the cylinder may come out stiffly

Questions and answers

Can it open a lock without the key?

No. You first open the lock with its original key, then the removal key lets you take out the cylinder.

Does it fit cylinders of other systems?

The key is meant for the HSC cylinders linked above. Zadi cylinders are removed with a separate Zadi removal key.

Where can I get new HSC cylinders?

HSC cylinders FW 494 to FW 500 and HSC keys are linked above.
