Voltage-dependent isolating relay: If the voltage of the starter battery (engine running) rises, the RV battery is charged. If the voltage drops below 12.8 V, the connection is cut.

Many Euro 5 and almost all Euro 6 vehicles are equipped with an intelligent alternator. In these vehicles, the function of 12 V cut-off relays and D+ simulators is limited or no longer possible. A charging booster or BCB must be installed to ensure that the on-board battery(ies) can be charged.
