Jokon PLR 130 Front Marker Light 12 V with Integrated Reflector, White, 74 x 45 mm - for C5W Bulb, Blade Terminals, for Caravan and Motorhome
- Jokon PLR 130 front marker light with integrated reflector for caravans and motorhomes. 12 V supply, C5W 5 W bulb (sold separately), dimensions 74 x 45 x 22.5 mm, blade terminals, weight approx. 36 g.
Jokon PLR 130 is a front marker light (front position lamp) with white light for caravans, motorhomes and utility trailers. It is surface mounted on the front wall or corner of the body and shows other drivers the width of the vehicle after dark. The letter R in the type name stands for the integrated reflector: the clear lens works both as a position light and as a white front reflector that returns the light of headlamps even when the lights are switched off. The lamp is designed for 12 V systems and works with a C5W 5 W festoon bulb, which is not included. You connect the wires to two blade terminals at the back of the housing. The housing measures 74 x 45 mm with a depth of 22.5 mm, and the fixing holes are 52.5 mm apart. Jokon uses this lamp on vehicles from manufacturers such as KNAUS, Kip and Tabbert, so it is mainly a replacement for a damaged or cracked marker light on a caravan or motorhome.

What a front marker light is for
Front marker lights are fitted in pairs, on the left and right of the front of a caravan or motorhome body, as close to its outer edge as possible. They shine white together with the vehicle position lights and show oncoming drivers how wide the vehicle is. The PLR 130 version also has an integrated white reflector, so the front of the caravan stays visible in the headlamps of other vehicles even when it is parked uncoupled at the roadside or in a car park and the lights are off.
PLR 130 or PL 130
- Jokon makes two versions of this lamp in the same 74 x 45 mm housing.
- PL 130 is the marker light alone, without reflector, weighing approx. 30 g.
- PLR 130 (this item) has an integrated reflector and weighs approx. 36-40 g.
- Both versions have the same 12 V voltage, the same C5W bulb, blade terminals and the same hole spacing, so they fit the same mounting positions.
- For the sides of the vehicle, where amber light is required, use the SMLR 130 side marker light of the same size.
C5W bulb
The lamp takes a C5W 12 V bulb rated 5 W. This is a tubular bulb with metal caps at both ends (festoon, SV8.5-8 base), approx. 36 mm long. The bulb is not included with the lamp, so order it separately. When replacing it, take the old bulb out of the spring contacts and insert the new one so that both caps sit firmly in the contacts. The lamp is approved for use with a C5W bulb, so use this type.
Electrical connection
- The lamp has two blade terminals at the back and no cable of its own. Fit the wires with insulated female connectors that match the terminals.
- Connect one terminal to the 12 V position light supply and the other to ground.
- On a caravan with a 13-pin socket, the left position lamps are usually supplied by circuit 58L (pin 7), the right ones by circuit 58R (pin 5), and pin 3 is ground.
- On a motorhome, marker lights are connected to the position light circuit of the base vehicle or the body, following the vehicle wiring diagram.
- Protect the connections against moisture and route the wire so it does not rub on the edges of the hole.
Step-by-step installation
- Switch off the lights and disconnect the circuit you are working on.
- Remove the old lamp and clean old sealant off the surface.
- For a new mounting position, drill two screw holes 52.5 mm apart and a terminal opening of approx. 12 mm, offset 12.5 mm from the axis of the fixing holes, as shown in the drawing.
- Pass the wires through the opening and push the connectors onto the lamp terminals.
- Seal the cable opening and the contact edge with a sealant made for leisure vehicles, so water does not get into the wall.
- Screw the lamp on without overtightening, so the lens does not crack.
- Insert the C5W bulb and check the function with the position lights on.

Frequently asked questions
Is the bulb included?
No. The lamp needs a C5W 12 V 5 W festoon bulb, which you buy separately.
What is the difference between PLR 130 and PL 130?
PLR 130 has an integrated reflector, PL 130 is the lamp alone. Housing, dimensions, bulb and hole spacing are the same.
Can I use it on the side of a caravan?
This is a front marker light with white light. For the sides, use amber side marker lights, for example the Jokon SMLR 130 of the same size.
How do I connect the lamp?
To the two blade terminals at the back: one to the 12 V position light supply, the other to ground. The lamp has no cable of its own.
Is it suitable for 24 V systems?
No, the lamp is designed for 12 V systems.
