Koziol EGGS TO GO Egg Box for 10 Eggs, Nature Flower Blue - Clip Closure, Stackable in the Fridge, for Campervans and Shopping
- Reusable Koziol EGGS TO GO egg box for 10 eggs in nature flower blue. It has a clip closure, shock-resistant polypropylene and measures 27.7 x 11.8 x 7.3 cm. You can wash it in the dishwasher and stack it in the fridge.
The Koziol EGGS TO GO is a reusable egg box for 10 eggs in nature flower blue. The manufacturer designed it for shopping at the market and at farm shops, and it works just as well in a campervan, a caravan or a car. Each egg sits in its own hollow, the lid closes with a clip, and the rigid, shock-resistant polypropylene keeps the eggs from being crushed in a bag, in a cupboard or in a cool box. The lid is flat, so you can stack several boxes on top of each other in the fridge. After shopping or a trip, you wash it in the dishwasher and use it again instead of yet another cardboard carton. The box is made at the koziol factory in Erbach, Germany.

Eggs in a campervan or caravan without breakage
A supermarket carton does not like travelling. On a bumpy road the eggs bounce, the cardboard gets damp in the fridge, and after a few days it falls apart in the cupboard. The rigid EGGS TO GO box solves this. The eggs sit in separate hollows, the lid stays shut with the clip. Before you pack it, check the size of your fridge, as the box is 27.7 cm long. If space is tight, choose the mini version for 6 eggs or lay the box flat on a shelf.
Shopping at the market and farm shop
At markets and farm shops, eggs are often sold loose or in used cartons. With your own box you take exactly as many eggs as you need, up to ten, and you do not collect more cartons at home. The box fits into a shopping bag, a bicycle basket or a backpack.
Material and production
The box is made of polypropylene (PP), a thermoplastic that the manufacturer processes as a single material. This means that after many years of use the box can be recycled. Polypropylene is light, suitable for food contact and does not shatter if the box falls on the floor. The manufacturer does not use additives such as plasticisers. All koziol products are made at one factory in Erbach, Germany. The fine speckle on the surface is a feature of the nature flower blue colour, not dirt.
Cleaning and care
- wash the box in warm water with a mild detergent before first use
- the box is dishwasher safe, preferably in the top rack
- place it loosely in the dishwasher, without pressing other dishes against it
- use a mild detergent, salt and rinse aid
- avoid contact with sharp objects such as metal cutlery, as they can scratch the surface
- store the box in a dry and clean place
- do not use a damaged box
Microwave
The material can go in the microwave up to 600 W and 100°C if you loosen or remove the lid. Do not cook eggs in their shells in a microwave, though, as they can burst.
Every egg in its own hollow
The base has ten deep hollows in two rows of five. The eggs do not touch each other and do not slide when the box tilts in a bag or in a campervan cupboard on a bend. The box is rigid, so it does not bend under the weight of other shopping the way a cardboard carton does.
Two sizes in one colour
The photo shows two boxes from the same series in nature flower blue: the smaller one for 6 eggs on top of the one for 10 eggs. Both have the same width and height and differ in length. The smaller box is not included, you will find it as a separate product in the links below. Thanks to the flat lids, you can stack both sizes in the fridge or in a cupboard.

Frequently asked questions
How many eggs does the box hold?
Ten. Each egg sits in its own hollow, in two rows of five. If you need a smaller box, choose the mini version for 6 eggs.
Will the box fit in a camping fridge?
The box measures 27.7 x 11.8 x 7.3 cm. Measure the shelf or door of your fridge before you buy. In small fridges the mini version, which is shorter, is a better fit.
Can I wash the box in the dishwasher?
Yes. The manufacturer recommends the top rack, a mild detergent and placing the box without pressing other dishes against it.
Will the lid open by itself in a bag?
The lid closes with a clip that keeps it shut while you carry the box in a bag or backpack. To open it, simply release the clip with your finger.
Can I keep hard-boiled eggs in it?
Yes. The box is suitable for food contact, so you can carry both raw and boiled eggs in it, for example on a day trip.
