Megasat Camping Case HD - Portable Satellite Kit in a Carry Case with 41 x 38 cm Dish, Single LNB, 10 m Cable and HD Stick 310 V3 12 V Receiver
- Satellite kit in a hard case: 41 x 38 cm steel dish, triple suction mount, pole mount, Single LNB, 10 m cable and HD Stick 310 V3 Full HD receiver with 12 V car adapter. Weight 4.34 kg.
The Megasat Camping Case HD is a complete portable kit for satellite TV, packed in a hard plastic case. Inside you will find a 41 x 38 cm steel dish, a triple suction mount, a pole mount, mounting hardware, a Single LNB, 10 m of coaxial cable, two F connectors, a rubber grommet and the HD Stick 310 V3 receiver with a 12 V car adapter. You can place the dish on the roof of your motorhome, on the bonnet, on a camping table or fix it to a pole, and after the season everything goes back into the case without taking up much room in the locker. It is a good choice if you travel in a motorhome, caravan or van without a roof antenna, and also if you camp in a tent or spend weekends at a holiday plot.

Everything in one case
- carry case made of sturdy, impact-resistant plastic
- steel dish, 41 x 38 cm, with arm and LNB holder
- triple suction mount for smooth surfaces
- pole mount that also fits a table leg
- mounting hardware and assembly instructions
- Single LNB
- 10 m coaxial cable, two F connectors and a rubber grommet
- HD Stick 310 V3 receiver with 12 V car adapter
Every part has its own place in the case, so nothing moves while driving and the dish does not rub against the receiver or the cable.
41 x 38 cm dish and Single LNB
The dish measures 41 x 38 cm and is made of steel. It is a small antenna, which is why it fits in a flat case and is easy to set up even on a narrow pitch. The kit includes a Single LNB, an LNB with one output. This means you connect one receiver to the kit and watch one channel at a time. You point the dish at the satellite of your choice, for example Astra 19.2E or Hot Bird 13E. Keep in mind that a small dish works best in the centre of the satellite footprint. The further away you are, the weaker the signal, and the more precise alignment and the weather matter.
Three ways to mount the dish
- suction mount - insert the dish from above into the triple suction foot, tighten the screw and turn the suction cups clockwise. The suction foot holds on almost any smooth surface, for example a roof, a bonnet or a table top
- clamp mount - insert the dish into the base support and clamp the support with the plastic base and the U-bracket
- pole mount - fix the base support with the U-bracket to a pole or table leg and tighten the wing nuts. For a better grip, place the included anti-slip strip under the bracket
HD Stick 310 V3 receiver
The HD Stick 310 V3 is a very small DVB-S/DVB-S2 satellite receiver that you mount directly behind the TV. It receives all free-to-air HD and SD channels in resolutions from 576i to 1080p, in 4:3 and 16:9 format. Because the receiver itself is hidden behind the screen, the remote control signal is picked up by a separate infrared sensor with a 4-digit display that shows the channel number. The receiver has two USB 2.0 ports for music, video and photo playback, a 7-day EPG, 8 favourites groups, parental lock, multilingual audio and subtitles, and supports DiSEqC 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, USALS and Unicable I and II. It measures 108 x 18 x 65 mm.
12 V power in the motorhome
In this kit the receiver comes with a 12 V car adapter, so you plug it into the 12 V socket of your motorhome, caravan or car. Power consumption is up to 12 W in operation and less than 0.5 W in standby. At 12 V this means a current of about 1 A, so the receiver puts only a small load on the leisure battery. The manufacturer states that the receiver can also run on 100-240 V mains with a suitable power supply.
How to align the dish at your pitch
- choose a spot with a clear view to the south, without trees, buildings or other vehicles in the signal path
- place the dish on a stable surface or fix it with the suction foot or pole mount so the wind cannot move it
- connect the LNB to the receiver with the 10 m cable, and the receiver to the TV with an HDMI cable. Route the cable through a window or door gap in the rubber grommet so it is not pinched
- select the satellite in the receiver menu and watch the signal strength and quality bars
- turn the dish slowly horizontally, then vertically, until the signal quality is at its highest
- finally tighten all screws and start the channel search
Transport and storage
- after use, wipe water and sand off the dish, suction cups and F connectors
- let all parts dry before you close the case
- take the dish off the roof before driving and do not leave it out overnight in strong wind

Dish on the triple suction foot
The triple suction foot is the quickest way to set up the dish at your pitch. Three suction pads spread the load, and you turn the LNB arm together with the dish until you find the satellite.

Frequently asked questions
Does the kit include a satellite receiver?
Yes. The HD version comes with the HD Stick 310 V3 receiver and a 12 V car adapter in the case. If you already have your own receiver, choose the version without a receiver.
Which channels can I watch?
The receiver picks up all free-to-air HD and SD channels from the satellite you point the dish at. Encrypted channels need a separate card and suitable equipment.
Does the dish align itself?
No. This is a manual kit. You point the dish at the satellite yourself while watching the signal bar in the receiver menu.
Can I connect two TVs?
The Single LNB has one output, so you connect one receiver to the kit and watch one channel at a time.
How much power does the receiver use?
Up to 12 W in operation and less than 0.5 W in standby. At 12 V that is about 1 A.
