Omnia Classic Original 2L is a portable oven without its own heat source. Place it on a gas, electric or spirit stove in a motorhome, caravan, boat or tent and bake bread, cakes and gratins just like in a conventional oven. No installation required. Pan capacity 2 l, diameter 250 mm, weight 500 g.
Design: three parts
- bowl-shaped stainless steel SS430 base with a hole in the middle
- 2 l aluminium pan with a hole in the middle
- aluminium lid with ventilation holes, painted red, black knob
- the parts are always used together - they give heat from below and above
How it works
- the base guides hot air along the underside of the pan - heat from below
- hot air rises through the centre holes and hits the lid - heat from above
- with the right heat setting, cooking times are the same as in a conventional oven
- when done, lift the pan off the base, otherwise the food keeps cooking in the residual heat
Which stove
- gas hob 2500 W: start just above the lowest flame
- electric hot plate 2000 W: high heat
- spirit stove 2000 W: slightly less than half power
- does not work on induction
Safety and care
- all parts get very hot - the bottom up to 350°C, the knob over 100°C; use pot holders
- on a gas stove mounted on wooden beams the base must not extend beyond the stove
- fill the pan only halfway for bread and cake, never above 2.5 cm from the top edge
- wash the pan by hand, not in the dishwasher
- not suitable for acidic foods

Questions and answers
Does it work on induction?
No. The base is magnetic, but induction gives too little heat from below and creates no hot air for heat from above.
Should there be water in the base?
No. The heat from below comes from hot air.
Is it dishwasher-safe?
No. Aluminium should be washed by hand to avoid discolouration. The discolouration is not harmful.
How much heat should I use?
On gas it is easy to overheat - start just above the lowest flame. Begin with a simple recipe such as a sponge cake.
