Accessories

• silicone mould: natural non-stick properties, less fat and easier cleaning; dishwasher-safe
• before first use wash and grease the silicone mould; keep it away from open flames and avoid sharp tools
• oven rack in electropolished stainless steel AISI 201, 3.0 mm wire, 225 mm diameter, 146 g - for pre-baked bread and baked potatoes, or with water in the bottom of the pan for steaming fish and vegetables
• the pot holders protect your hands from the hot parts
• the bag holds the oven and all accessories

Design: three parts

• bowl-shaped stainless steel SS430 base with a hole in the middle
• 2 l aluminium pan with a hole in the middle
• aluminium lid with ventilation holes, painted red, black knob
• the parts are always used together - they give heat from below and above

Which stove

• gas hob 2500 W: start just above the lowest flame
• electric hot plate 2000 W: high heat
• spirit stove 2000 W: slightly less than half power
• does not work on induction

Safety and care

• all parts get very hot - the bottom up to 350°C, the knob over 100°C; use pot holders
• on a gas stove mounted on wooden beams the base must not extend beyond the stove
• fill the pan only halfway for bread and cake, never above 2.5 cm from the top edge
• wash the pan by hand, not in the dishwasher
• not suitable for acidic foods

Does it work on induction?

No. The base is magnetic, but induction gives too little heat from below and creates no hot air for heat from above.

Should there be water in the base?

No. The heat from below comes from hot air.

Is it dishwasher-safe?

No. Aluminium should be washed by hand to avoid discolouration. The discolouration is not harmful.

How much heat should I use?

On gas it is easy to overheat - start just above the lowest flame. Begin with a simple recipe such as a sponge cake.
