BlueCraft 2-burner camping gas stove - 2 x 2.2 kW, flame failure device on each burner, hinged lid, 50 mbar, anthracite
- BlueCraft 2-burner camping gas stove (2 x 2.2 kW) with a flame failure device on each burner, hinged lid and enamelled pan support. It runs at 50 mbar and uses 320 g of gas per hour.
The BlueCraft camping gas stove has two burners with 2.2 kW each, 4.4 kW in total. You can cook pasta on one and fry or make coffee on the other. Each burner has its own flame failure device with a thermocouple that shuts off the gas when the flame goes out, for example in a draught. The anthracite sheet steel housing has a hinged folding lid, and pots and pans stand on a sturdy enamelled pan support. The stove runs at 50 mbar and uses 320 g of gas per hour. It measures 60 x 10 x 33 cm and weighs 3.2 kg, so it fits in a car boot, a motorhome locker or a cupboard at the allotment.

What it is good for
- Cooking at the campsite next to your motorhome, caravan or tent, in the open air.
- An outdoor kitchen at the allotment, in the garden or on the patio, so you do not have to carry pots back and forth.
- Fishing trips, regattas, fairs and outdoor gatherings where you need two burners at once.
How the stove works
Gas from the cylinder flows through a 50 mbar regulator and a hose to the stove and on to two valves with knobs. Each burner has its own valve and its own thermocouple. The flame heats the thermocouple, which keeps the valve open. If the flame goes out, the thermocouple cools down and the valve shuts off the gas to that burner only, while the other one keeps working. With the knob you choose a large or a small flame, so you can bring water to the boil quickly and then gently heat a sauce or soup. The metal caps spread the flame evenly under the bottom of the pan.
What you need to connect it
- A cylinder with liquefied gas, propane or propane-butane, from 3 to 11 kg. The cylinder is not included.
- A regulator with 50 mbar outlet pressure.
- A gas hose with 1/4 inch left-hand thread on both ends, with a length to suit your setup, 150 cm at most.
- Leak detection spray or water with washing-up liquid to check the connections.
- Make the connection with a threaded union nut. Hose clamps are not a good solution here, and in Germany they are not allowed on portable gas appliances.
First use step by step
- Place the stove outdoors on a level, stable and non-flammable surface, away from awnings, tents and flammable objects.
- Stand the cylinder upright next to the stove so that the hose does not touch hot parts and is not under tension.
- Screw the regulator onto the cylinder, connect the hose to the regulator and to the stove inlet, and tighten the connections with a spanner.
- Open the cylinder valve and check all connections with leak detection spray. Bubbles mean a leak, so close the cylinder and redo the connection.
- Press the knob of the burner you want, turn it to the large flame and light the gas at the burner with a long lighter or a match.
- Keep the knob pressed for a few seconds up to a dozen or so, until the flame has heated the thermocouple. Then release the knob and set a large or small flame.
- After cooking, close the cylinder valve, wait until the flames go out and turn both knobs off.
Gas consumption and run time
The manufacturer states a consumption of 320 g of gas per hour. An 11 kg cylinder lasts about 34 hours, and a 5 kg cylinder about 15 hours. If one burner runs on a small flame, the gas lasts longer. On cold days choose pure propane, because butane hardly evaporates at temperatures close to freezing and the flame gets smaller.
Safety
- The stove is not designed for enclosed spaces. Do not use it inside a motorhome or caravan, in a tent, awning or garage.
- Never leave the stove unattended while it is lit and keep children and pets away.
- Do not close the lid while the burners are on or the stove is still hot.
- Replace the hose and regulator after the marked service life, or earlier if you see cracks or hardening.
- If you smell gas, close the cylinder valve, do not light any flame and check the connections.
Care and storage
- Once cooled, lift off the pan support and wipe the housing and lid with a damp cloth.
- Remove spills as soon as the stove has cooled, before they dry on the burner caps.
- Before storing, disconnect the hose, close the lid and keep the stove in a dry place.

Frequently asked questions
Which regulator and hose do I need?
A 50 mbar regulator and a gas hose with 1/4 inch left-hand thread on both ends, up to 150 cm long.
Can I cook on it in my motorhome?
Not inside. The stove is not designed for enclosed spaces, so set it up outdoors, for example on a table next to the vehicle.
What happens if the flame goes out?
The flame failure device shuts off the gas to that burner. Turn the knob off, wait a moment and light the burner again.
Are the regulator and hose included?
No. Only the stove is included, you buy the 50 mbar regulator, hose and cylinder separately.
