FAP Orus water filler with hinged door and lockable cap, white, ø 35 mm, bagged - motorhome and caravan

The FAP Orus is a round fresh water filler for the side wall of a motorhome or caravan. The white housing in RAL 9010 has a hinged door that covers the filler and keeps rain and dust out. Under the door sits a blue cap in RAL 5010, made as a friction cap to the EU DIN standard. The cap holds a New System cylinder and two keys are included, so you can lock the tank right after fitting. At the back of the housing there is a ø 35 mm spigot for the hose to the tank, and the cut-out in the wall is ø 115 mm. This version is packed in a plastic bag.

How it works

• Swing the door open on its hinge.
• Unlock the cap with the key and take it off.
• Fill with water from a hose or watering can.
• Put the cap back, lock it and close the door.
• The locked cap stops anyone from pouring anything into your tank while you are away.

Fitting

• Check the diameter of the tank hose, the spigot is ø 35 mm.
• Choose a spot on the wall with access from inside and no cables behind it.
• Cut a ø 115 mm opening.
• Pass the spigot through the opening and push the hose on.
• Seal the flange with a sealant made for vehicle walls and screw the housing on.
• Secure the hose with a clamp and check for leaks the first time you fill.

What to keep in mind

This filler has a ø 35 mm spigot. The Orus series also comes with ø 25, 32, 40 and 50 mm spigots, so check the hose in your vehicle before you order. The Orus cap is designed for this housing, so use parts from the same series when you replace anything. The cylinder belongs to the New System range, so if you lose the keys you can buy a new pair or a complete cylinder with keys.

Care

• Wipe the cap seal with a damp cloth now and then.
• Do not clean the housing with solvents.
• Before winter, drain the system and keep the cap locked so no dirt gets in.
• The door hinge needs no grease, just remove sand and dust from it.
