The GOK 01-648-40 is a second-stage low-pressure regulator (type NDR 0516) for domestic LPG tank installations as well as trade and industrial systems. It is fitted in the pipework downstream of a first-stage regulator. At 12 kg/h it keeps the outlet pressure constant, adjustable 37/50 mbar, regardless of changes in pressure, flow and temperature. The built-in PRV safety relief valve protects connected appliances against excess pressure.

Before you order
The regulator works with LPG in the vapour phase and is fitted directly in the low-pressure pipework, following the flow arrow on the housing. Inlet pressure must be within 0.75-2.5 bar, so a first-stage regulator at the tank comes before it. It can be used indoors and outdoors in a place sheltered from the weather. When installed inside a building, the PRV outlet must be piped outdoors. If the outlet pressure rises too high, for example when the sun heats the regulator, the PRV releases the excess gas to atmosphere and closes again by itself. Installation and leak testing must be done by a specialist company. A correctly installed regulator needs no maintenance, but check regularly that the screen in the vent opening is not blocked.

Questions and answers
Is this a two-stage regulator?
No. It is a second-stage regulator, the second regulator in the system. It works downstream of a first-stage regulator that reduces tank pressure to 0.75-2.5 bar.
Can I connect it directly to a cylinder or tank?
No. Inlet pressure must be between 0.75 and 2.5 bar, so a first-stage regulator is needed.
What outlet pressure does it deliver?
The outlet pressure is adjustable, GOK states 37/50 mbar. The current setting is shown on the rating plate.
What are the connections?
G 1 (1 inch) union nuts on the inlet and outlet.
Does the PRV shut off the gas?
No. The PRV releases excess pressure to atmosphere and closes again by itself. Indoors, the PRV outlet must be piped outside.
Is it suitable for a motorhome?
No. It is meant for fixed tank installations. For motorhomes and caravans choose a cylinder regulator.
