Truma MonoControl CS is a gas pressure regulator with an integrated crash sensor, designed for single-cylinder operation in caravans and motorhomes. It keeps a constant 30 mbar output pressure with an inlet pressure of 0.3-16 bar. In an accident the sensor shuts off the gas immediately, so no gas can escape from a damaged system. The regulator meets the requirements for a safety shut-off device, so you can use your gas heater while driving.

Dimensions and installation

- install the regulator higher than the cylinder valve and route the high-pressure hose sloping down to the cylinder
- outdoors the regulator must be protected from rain and dripping water
Resetting the crash sensor
- the yellow button shows the sensor status: pressed in - ready, popped out - gas shut off
- to reset: press the yellow button firmly, turn it slightly clockwise and hold for 5 seconds
- if the button does not stay in, use the Torx T20 bit on the supplied screw aid
Connections
- inlet: male thread M20 x 1.5 (G.13) - for a high-pressure hose or gas filter
- outlet: olive screw connection 8 mm or 10 mm (H.9) for the gas pipe
- recommended tightening torque: 3-5 Nm for the M20 x 1.5 union nut, 14-19 Nm for the 8 mm fitting, 16-21 Nm for the 10 mm fitting
- integrated test connection for leak testing

Important information
- a gas filter must be fitted upstream of the regulator to protect it from dirt and oil aerosols from the cylinder
- connect the cylinder only with a high-pressure hose with hose rupture protection (not included)
- only for cylinders with gas-phase extraction, not for liquid-phase cylinders
- installation, repairs and leak testing must be done by a qualified gas fitter
- do not use the regulator in closed rooms, on boats, in EX zone 0 or for commercial purposes
- the regulator is maintenance-free; the manufacturer recommends replacing it within 10 years of manufacture and having the gas system checked every 2 years

Questions and answers
Can I use the heater while driving with this regulator?
Yes. The crash sensor meets the requirements for a gas safety shut-off device in motorhomes and caravans, so a type-approved gas heater can be used while driving. National regulations must be followed.
What do I do when the crash sensor has been triggered?
Press the yellow button firmly, turn it slightly clockwise and hold it for 5 seconds. When the button stays in, the regulator is ready to use again.
Does it fit 8 mm and 10 mm pipes?
Yes. The outlet has a 10 mm olive fitting, and a reducer union for 8 mm pipe is included.
Do I need a gas filter?
Yes. The manufacturer requires a gas filter upstream of the regulator inlet to protect it from dirt and oil aerosols from the cylinder.
What warranty does it have?
