2-Way Ball Valve for 20 mm Hose - Shut-Off Tap for Larger Water Lines in Motorhomes, Caravans and Boats
- Ball valve with two hose barbs for 20 mm hose. Fit it into the line and shut off the water flow with a quarter turn of the lever. For motorhomes, caravans, boats and camper vans.
Fit the 2-way ball valve for 20 mm hose into a water line to shut off the flow whenever you need. It has two barbed ends for hose with a 20 mm inner diameter and a red lever. This size is for larger lines, for example for filling and draining tanks, where you want a higher flow than a 13 mm hose gives.

Shut off the water in one move
- two barbed ends for hose with a 20 mm inner diameter
- ball valve, opened and closed with a 90° turn of the lever
- red lever, position visible at a glance
- lightweight plastic body
- fits into the line without threads, hose clamps are enough
The valve has no threads, so you can fit it anywhere in an existing hose: cut the hose and push both ends over the valve barbs. You need no PTFE tape and no spanner.
How a ball valve works
Inside the valve body there is a ball with a bore. When the lever is in line with the valve, the bore lines up with the channel and water flows freely. Turning the lever by 90° sets the ball across the channel and shuts off the flow completely. You close the valve with one movement and can see at a glance from the lever whether it is open or closed.
Where it works well
- drain of a fresh or grey water tank with 20 mm hose
- filling line of a tank where a high flow matters
- line between two tanks when you want to control the transfer of water
- shutting off part of the system for repairs or winter storage
- water systems on boats and in holiday cabins
Installation
- Use a hose with an inner diameter of 20 mm.
- Cut the hose square and push it over the whole length of the barbed end.
- Secure every joint with a hose clamp.
- Position the valve so that the lever is easy to reach and does not catch on the interior.
- After installation fill the system and check for leaks with the valve open and closed.
Winter storage
Before winter drain the water from the system and leave the valve open so that no water stays in the body. Frozen water can crack plastic parts. After the season it is also worth turning the lever a few times so that the ball does not stick in one position.
Choosing the size
What matters most is the inner diameter of the hose. This valve fits 20 mm hose. The same valve type is also available for 10 mm and 13 mm hose. If you want to screw the valve onto a threaded outlet, pick the model with a ring nut and one hose barb, and to switch water between two lines choose the 3-way L-port valve.

- Ball valve with 3/4" ring nut and 13 mm hose barb - version for a 3/4" thread
- Ball valve with 1/2" ring nut and 16 mm hose barb - 1/2" thread and 16 mm hose
- Ball valve with 1/2" ring nut and 20 mm hose barb - 1/2" thread and 20 mm hose
- 3-way L-port ball valve with 1/2" female thread - switches water between two outlets

Frequently asked questions
Which hose does this valve fit?
Hose with an inner diameter of 20 mm. Push the hose over the barbed end and secure it with a hose clamp.
How do I know if the valve is closed?
From the lever position. When the lever is in line with the valve, water flows. When it is across the valve, the flow is shut off.
Can I screw it onto a thread?
No, this model has two hose barbs. To mount it on a thread choose the valve with a ring nut and one hose barb.
Do I need hose clamps?
Yes, we recommend them on every joint. A clamp stops the hose from slipping off and leaking, especially while driving.
What should I do with the valve before winter?
Drain the system and leave the valve open. This way no water stays in the body that could freeze.
