The Brunner Somni 3D Double is a self-inflating mattress for two people, measuring 200 x 132 x 10 cm. A continuous layer of insulating foam with horizontal air channels combines good insulation with a sensible weight. The cover is 190T 75D polyester with a TPU coating, and the top has a soft peach skin finish. A bidirectional valve opens or closes the airflow, so the mattress inflates itself; to pack it away you roll it up and close the valve. A storage bag is included. What it is for

The Somni 3D Double gives two people a comfortable sleeping surface in a tent, awning, campervan, van or caravan. At 10 cm high, the continuous foam with air channels supports the body better than a thin foam pad and also insulates you from a cold ground.

It also works as a guest mattress at home: after use you roll it to about 27 x 68 cm and put it in the bag. It is not an air bed that needs a separate pump for basic inflation - the design is self-inflating, and the bidirectional valve controls the airflow.

Brunner also makes a smaller Single version (200 x 76 x 10 cm, 3.2 kg). Choose Double when you need full width for two people or more space for one.

How to set up and pack

1. Take the mattress out of the bag and unroll it on a level, clean surface, away from sharp edges.
2. Open the bidirectional valve and wait for the foam to draw in air. Fill time depends on temperature and humidity.
3. When the mattress is nearly at full height, close the valve. In cold weather or if you like a firmer feel, you can top up a little air by mouth or with a hand pump through the valve - this is optional for basic use.
4. After use, open the valve, roll the mattress from the opposite end towards the valve while pushing air out, then close the valve at the end.
5. Put the rolled mattress in the storage bag and keep it in a dry place.

Double or Single

Double is 132 cm wide and weighs 5.7 kg. Single is 76 cm wide, weighs 3.2 kg and packs to about 19 x 79 cm. If two of you sleep side by side or you want more room for one person, choose Double. When weight and locker width matter more, Single may be better.

Safe use

• This is a sleeping mattress for use on land, not a flotation aid.
• Keep it away from sharp objects, sparks, open flame and hot heat sources.
• In strong sun the air pressure inside can rise - do not leave it fully inflated unsupervised in a closed, hot vehicle.
• Place it on level ground without protruding roots, stones or screws.
• Do not jump on the mattress and do not exceed a sensible load for two adults.

Care

Wipe the polyester cover with TPU coating with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner. Shake or brush off sand and mud with a soft brush before rolling the mattress. Dry a wet mattress with the valve slightly open before packing it into the bag. Store it in a dry place, lightly rolled or loosely laid, without heavy objects pressing on it for long periods.
