Opis produktu

The BlueCraft gas stool burner is a single-burner outdoor cooker with 10 kW output for cooking in large pots. The solid cast-iron burner sits in a sturdy black powder-coated frame on four legs, and four supports hold the pot or kettle above the flame. You adjust the output steplessly with the knob, light the flame with the piezo button, and the flame failure device with a thermocouple shuts off the gas when the flame goes out. The burner runs at 50 mbar and uses 746 g of gas per hour at full output. It measures 40 x 40 x 18 cm and weighs 6.3 kg, so it is easy to carry and store after the event.

Black BlueCraft 10 kW gas stool burner on four legs with round cast-iron burner, four pot supports, valve knob and red piezo ignition button

Key features

  • nominal output 10 kW, one burner
  • burner made of solid cast iron
  • stepless output control with the knob
  • piezo ignition
  • flame failure device with thermocouple
  • operating pressure 50 mbar, gas consumption 746 g/h
  • powder-coated steel frame and legs, black
  • dimensions 40 x 40 x 18 cm, net weight 6.3 kg

What it is for

  • Cooking soups, goulash, stews and pasta in large pots for parties, fairs and club events.
  • Preserving, boiling corn, crayfish and seafood, and heating large amounts of water.
  • Home brewing, when you need to boil several dozen litres of wort.
  • Cooking in the garden, on the allotment and at the campsite next to the vehicle, never inside it.
  • A backup heat source for cooking when the power goes out at home.

How the burner works

Gas from the cylinder flows through a 50 mbar regulator and a hose to the valve with the knob. When you press and turn the knob, gas reaches the cast-iron burner, and the piezo button makes a spark at the ignition electrode next to the burner. The flame heats the thermocouple, which keeps the valve open. If the flame goes out, for example because of wind or boiling over, the thermocouple cools down and the valve shuts off the gas. With the knob you reduce the flame steplessly from full output to gentle simmering, so you can bring water to the boil quickly and then cook a dish slowly on a low flame.

What you need to connect it

  • A cylinder with propane or propane-butane LPG, for example 11 kg. The cylinder is not included.
  • A regulator with 50 mbar outlet pressure and a flow of at least 1 kg/h, as the burner uses 746 g/h at full output.
  • An LPG hose with fittings or clamps that match the regulator and the burner inlet.
  • Leak detection spray or water with washing-up liquid to check the connections.

First use step by step

  • Place the burner outdoors on a level, firm and non-flammable surface, away from walls, tents, awnings and flammable objects.
  • Stand the cylinder upright a few metres from the burner so that the hose does not touch hot parts.
  • Fit the regulator to the cylinder, connect the hose to the regulator and to the burner, and tighten the connections.
  • Open the cylinder valve and check all connections with leak detection spray. Bubbles mean a leak, so close the cylinder and fix the connection.
  • Press the knob, turn it to the flame position and press the piezo button.
  • After ignition keep the knob pressed for several seconds until the flame has heated the thermocouple. Then release the knob and set the flame size.
  • When you finish, close the cylinder valve first, wait until the flame goes out and then turn the burner knob off.

Gas consumption and running time

At full output the burner uses 746 g of gas per hour. An 11 kg cylinder therefore lasts about 14 hours at full flame, and a 5 kg cylinder about 6.5 hours. On a lower flame the gas lasts longer. With high consumption the cylinder cools down considerably, and at low temperatures the gas evaporates less and the flame gets smaller. In winter choose pure propane, as butane hardly evaporates at temperatures around freezing. For long cooking at full output it is good to have a second cylinder ready.

Safety

  • Use the burner outdoors only. Do not operate it in a motorhome, caravan, tent, awning, garage or any other enclosed space.
  • Never leave the burner unattended while it is running and keep children and pets away.
  • Use only stable pots that sit securely on all four supports. A large kettle of water is heavy, so put it in place before you light the burner.
  • Replace the hose and regulator according to their marked service life, or earlier if you see cracks or hardening.
  • If you smell gas, close the cylinder valve, do not light any flame and check the connections.

Care

  • When the burner has cooled down, remove food residue and boiled-over water from the burner and frame.
  • If the burner holes are blocked, clean them with a soft wire brush or a thin wire.
  • Store the burner in a dry place so that the cast iron and steel do not rust. Disconnect the hose from the cylinder for storage.

Frequently asked questions

Which regulator do I need?

A regulator with 50 mbar outlet pressure and a flow of at least 1 kg/h. At full output the burner uses 746 g of gas per hour.

Can I cook on it in a motorhome or tent?

No. The burner has a high output and an open flame, so use it outdoors only, on a stable and non-flammable surface.

What happens if the flame goes out?

The flame failure device with thermocouple shuts off the gas to the burner. Close the cylinder valve and light the burner again.

Are spare parts available?

Yes. The piezo igniter, spark plug with cable, thermocouple and knob are available separately, you will find the links above.
