- microphone and IR LEDs for night use

What it is for
CAM44W watches the area behind the vehicle while manoeuvring and parking. The close-range lens shows the zone just behind the rear wall, while the long-range lens gives a view similar to looking through a rear window - you can also switch it on outside reverse gear.
The white version shares the same twin optics as the silver CAM44. It does not include a NAV adapter box - if you need a navigation link, choose CAM 44 NAV. The white housing blends more easily with light bodywork on a motorhome or caravan.
The camera is intended mainly for vehicles. In practice it is fitted on a motorhome, van or caravan when you need a permanent rear view. Image and sound travel by cable to a colour monitor; the camera leaves the factory with a mirrored image, so the monitor must use a normal picture mode.
Installation notes
- Fit the camera bracket on the rear wall or crossmember as described in the CAM44 manual, using the insulating pad supplied.
- Route the 20 m system cable to the cab so it cannot rub on sharp edges or collide with moving parts.
- Connect the camera to a PerfectView monitor and to 12 V DC as shown in the wiring diagram. Power draw per the CAM44 manual is max. 4 W.
- For electrical tests use a diode test lamp - a filament lamp can pull the circuit voltage down.
- After fitting, check lens switching, cover movement and the three distance markers on screen in reverse.
What is in the box
- PerfectView CAM44W camera with motorised cover (white).
- 20 m system cable.

CAM44W versus other PerfectView cameras
CAM44W is the white twin 140°/50° camera with a motorised cover and a 20 m cable. Prefer a silver housing? Choose CAM44. For navigation systems there is CAM 44 NAV with an adapter box. Newer dual-view cameras from the CAM 440 line are listed as separate PerfectView products.
Safe use
- A reversing system is only an aid. It does not replace care when reversing or checking the mirrors.
- Operating temperature for the CAM44 family: -30 to +70°C.
- The housing is IP68, but seal mounting holes only as the manual describes.
- Do not use longer cover screws than specified - overlong screws damage the camera.
- Match the monitor and connectors to the PAL video standard and normal picture mode per the manuals.
Care
Wipe the lenses and cover with a soft, damp cloth and no aggressive solvents. After washing the vehicle, check that the motorised cover opens and closes freely.
