Flue pipe for Truma S 3002 / S 3004 heater - flexible stainless steel exhaust pipe Ø 50 mm, sold by the metre
- Flexible stainless steel flue pipe, 50 mm in diameter, for Truma S 3002 and S 3004 gas heaters. Sold by the metre, easy to bend and cut to the length you need from the heater to the cowl.
This flexible pipe carries the flue gas from a Truma S 3002 or S 3004 gas heater to the roof or wall cowl of the vehicle. It is spiral wound from stainless steel, measures 50 mm in diameter and is sold by the metre. You need it when the old pipe is corroded, cracked or too short, or when the heater or the cowl moves to a new position.

Key features
- Stainless steel, resistant to moisture and flue condensate
- Diameter 50 mm
- Spiral, flexible design - the pipe can run in bends
- Sold by the metre, cut to length
- For Truma S 3002 and S 3004 heaters in motorhomes and caravans
What the flue pipe does
Truma S series heaters have a sealed combustion chamber. Combustion air and flue gas pass through the cowl, and the flue pipe joins the heater outlet to the cowl. A leaking pipe can let flue gas into the vehicle, so check its condition at every service and replace it if it shows wear, holes or rust.
When to replace the pipe
- The pipe is corroded, has holes or cracked coils
- The spiral is stretched or crushed and no longer holds its shape
- The heater or cowl moves and a longer pipe is needed
- When a new cowl or a new heater is fitted
How to work out the length
Measure the route from the heater flue outlet to the cowl connection, following the path the pipe will take. Add extra for pushing the ends over the spigots and for gentle bends. The pipe should not be stretched or kinked, as this narrows it and slows the flue gas. Any surplus is easy to cut off during fitting.
Check the diameter before you order
This pipe is 50 mm in diameter. Some Truma heaters and cowl sets use the AE3 pipe, which is 55 mm. Measure your old pipe or the heater spigot before ordering. If it is 55 mm, choose the Truma AE3 Ø 55 mm pipe from the related products.
Fitting
- Shut off the gas and let the heater cool down
- Remove the old pipe from the heater and cowl spigots
- Cut the new pipe to length and push the ends over the spigots
- Secure the ends with clamps or the fixings from the cowl set
- After fitting, check the whole flue system for leaks
