When the light in your Carbest 71356 compressor cool box stops working, there is no need to replace the whole appliance. This part is the original LED light board for this model, a 33 l camping cool box that runs on 12 V, 24 V or 230 V. How to check that this is the right part

You will find the model number on the rating plate of the cool box and on the cover of its manual. If it says 71356, this board is intended for it. Other Carbest cool boxes use different light boards, so do not order this part for another model just because it looks similar. If in doubt, compare your old board with the photos: number of LEDs, position of the holes and the connector.

Before you replace the board

• Disconnect the cool box from all power sources: unplug the 12/24 V plug and remove the 230 V cable.
• Check that the cable is pushed firmly into the board connector. A loose connector is a common reason why the light does not work.
• Inspect the cable and connector. If the cable is worn or the connector is cracked, a new board alone will not help.
• If the display or the cooling does not work either, the cause may be the power supply or the control board, not the light.

Replacement step by step

• Disconnect the 12/24 V and 230 V power.
• Remove the light cover. If it is cracked or cloudy, replace it at the same time.
• Undo the two screws that hold the board.
• Carefully pull the cable connector off the board. Pull the connector, not the wires.
• Connect the cable to the new board the same way it was connected to the old one.
• Screw the board in place with the same screws, without too much force, so it does not crack.
• Fit the cover, reconnect the power and check that the light works.

Good to know

• Keep the old screws, as the set contains only the board.
• While working, do not touch the LEDs with your fingers and do not place the board on a metal surface while it is connected.
• If you have no experience with electronics, have the part replaced by a service workshop.
• Clean the inside of the cool box only with the power disconnected. The manual recommends warm water with bicarbonate of soda (1 tablespoon per 2 l of water) and drying with a soft cloth.

This side also shows the two fixing holes used to screw the board into the housing.
