Lilie Winter Ban 3.78 l antifreeze for drinking water systems in motorhomes, caravans and boats - propylene glycol, down to -75 °C
- Lilie Winter Ban 3.78 l: winterising fluid for drinking water systems in motorhomes, caravans and boats. Protects against frost bursting down to -75 °C undiluted, lubricates pump and valves. Odourless and tasteless.
Lilie Winter Ban is a winterising fluid for drinking and fresh water systems in motorhomes, caravans and boats. After emptying the fresh water tank you pour it in through the filler, so there is no need to remove components or laboriously drain the whole system. It protects drinking water, water cooling and toilet systems from frost damage, as well as from corrosion, deposits and algae. It also lubricates the pump, diaphragms, valves and seals.

How it works
- contains propylene glycol, no ethylene glycol
- works as burst protection: at about 0 °C it starts to crystallise and turns spongy, but does not expand
- so freezing water cannot burst hoses, pump, valves or taps
- suitable for hoses and devices made of brass and plastic
- non-toxic, odourless and tasteless

Dosage
- 1 l Winter Ban, no water - protection down to -75 °C
- 1 l Winter Ban + 1 l water - down to -45 °C
- 1 l Winter Ban + 2 l water - down to -20 °C
- 1 l Winter Ban + 3 l water - down to -10 °C
- 1 l Winter Ban + 6 l water - down to -5 °C
- full protection only comes from undiluted fluid, so remove all water from the system first
Winterising step by step
- turn off the water supply, open all taps and drain the tank and the system
- close the taps and switch off the pump
- remove the water filter cartridge and drain the water heater
- pour the required amount of Winter Ban and water mixture into the tank through the filler, at least 10 l
- open the taps one by one, starting with the one nearest the tank, until the fluid comes out, then close them
- flush the toilet until only fluid flows
- make sure all taps and drains are closed and switch off the pump
Water heater
- the water heater has the cold water inlet at the bottom and the hot water outlet at the top, so it must fill with fluid before the hot water lines
- use correspondingly more fluid or route it through a water heater bypass if the system has one
Recommissioning after winter
- rinse the tank thoroughly and fill it with water
- open all taps and switch on the pump
- let the water run until it is no longer coloured
- after a longer break the manufacturer recommends disinfecting the drinking water system
Safety and limits
- not for consumption
- avoid contact with skin and eyes, keep away from children
- designed for winterising water systems, not for systems in use, not for car or boat engine cooling circuits and not for closed heating systems
- the label design may vary
- for grey and black water tanks: RinoICE 2 l

Questions and answers
Does Winter Ban have to be diluted?
No. Undiluted it protects down to -75 °C. Diluted 1:1 it protects down to -45 °C, 1:2 down to -20 °C, 1:3 down to -10 °C and 1:6 down to -5 °C.
Can I drink the water after winter?
First rinse the tank and run water from all taps until it is no longer coloured. The manufacturer also recommends disinfecting the system after a longer break.
How much fluid do I need?
At least 10 l of mixture goes into the tank. The water heater takes an extra amount unless you route the fluid through its bypass.
Can it be used in an engine cooling circuit?
No. Winter Ban is not intended for car or boat engine cooling circuits or for closed heating systems.
