Paella World gas stool burner 4 kW - compact boiling ring with 13 cm cast-iron burner and flame failure device, 50 mbar
- Compact Paella World stool burner with 4 kW output, 13 cm cast-iron burner, stepless flame control and flame failure device. It runs at 50 mbar and has legs adjustable from 14 to 18 cm.
The Paella World gas stool burner is a compact single-burner outdoor cooker with 4 kW output. The cast-iron burner with a diameter of 13 cm sits in a black frame made of lacquered sheet steel, and four legs adjustable from 14 to 18 cm let you level the burner on uneven ground. You adjust the flame steplessly with the valve, and the flame failure device with a thermocouple shuts off the gas when the flame goes out. The burner runs at 50 mbar, uses 291 g of gas per hour at full output and carries up to 60 kg. It measures 30 x 30 cm, so it fits in the boot next to the cylinder, and it takes pots, pans or a wok from 20 cm in diameter.

Key features
- 4 kW output at 50 mbar, one burner
- cast-iron burner, 13 cm diameter
- stepless flame control with the valve
- flame failure device with thermocouple
- gas consumption 291 g/h at full output
- lacquered sheet steel frame, black
- size 30 x 30 cm, height 14-18 cm
- load up to 60 kg, cookware from 20 cm diameter
- gas inlet 1/4 inch left-hand thread
What it is for
- Cooking soups, stews and pasta in pots in the garden, on the allotment and at parties.
- Frying in a pan, a wok or on a cast-iron griddle when you do not want to fry indoors.
- Preserving and sterilising jars outdoors without steaming up the kitchen.
- An extra burner next to the barbecue or camping stove when one cooking zone is not enough.
How the burner works
Gas from the cylinder flows through a regulator and a hose to the brass valve. When you press and turn the knob, gas reaches the cast-iron burner. The burner has no piezo igniter, so you light the flame with a long-nosed lighter or a long match. The flame heats the thermocouple, which keeps the valve open. If the flame goes out, for example because of wind or boiling over, the thermocouple cools down and the valve shuts off the gas. The valve is a needle valve: you adjust the output within the first turn of the knob, further turns do not give a bigger flame. On the gas pipe there is an air sleeve that you set so that the flame burns blue.
What you need to connect it
- A cylinder with propane or propane-butane LPG, for example 5 kg or 11 kg. The cylinder is not included.
- A 50 mbar or 30 mbar regulator. The regulator is not included.
- An LPG hose up to 1.5 m long with a 1/4 inch left-hand thread fitting on the burner side and a fitting that matches the regulator.
Assembly
- Screw the four legs to the frame and set their height so that the burner stands level.
- Fit the cast-iron burner by pressing the rear flap down.
- Slide the air sleeve over the air inlet of the burner.
- Fit the valve with flame failure device without a seal and lock it with the lock nut. Position it so that the tip of the thermocouple sits directly in the flame.
- Connect the hose and regulator, tighten all screws and check the connections for leaks.
First use step by step
- Place the burner outdoors on a level, firm and non-flammable surface, away from walls, tents, awnings and flammable objects.
- Stand the cylinder upright next to the burner so that the hose does not touch hot parts.
- Open the cylinder valve and check the connections with leak detection spray. Bubbles mean a leak, so close the cylinder and fix the connection.
- Press the knob, turn it and bring the lighter flame to the burner.
- After ignition keep the knob pressed for several seconds until the flame has heated the thermocouple. Then release the knob and set the flame size.
- When you finish, close the cylinder valve first, wait until the flame goes out and then turn the burner knob off.
Gas consumption and running time
At the full 4 kW the burner uses 291 g of gas per hour. An 11 kg cylinder therefore lasts about 37 hours at full flame, a 5 kg cylinder about 17 hours and a 2 kg cylinder almost 7 hours. On a lower flame the gas lasts longer. At low temperatures the gas evaporates less and the flame gets smaller. In winter choose pure propane, as butane hardly evaporates at temperatures around freezing.
Safety
- Use the burner outdoors. Do not operate it in a motorhome, caravan, tent, awning or garage.
- Never leave the burner unattended while it is running and keep children and pets away. All metal parts get very hot, so wear protective gloves.
- Use only stable cookware from 20 cm in diameter that sits securely on all four supports. The total load must not exceed 60 kg.
- If you smell gas, close the cylinder valve, do not light any flame and check the connections.
Other gas cookers
- BlueCraft gas stool burner 10 kW - a larger stool burner with piezo ignition when you cook in big kettles and need more output
- BlueCraft camping stove with 2 burners - when you want to cook in two pots at the same time

Frequently asked questions
Which regulator do I need?
A 50 mbar regulator, which gives the full 4 kW. It also works with a 30 mbar regulator, but with 3.5 kW.
Does the burner have a piezo igniter?
No. You light the flame with a long-nosed lighter or a long match, and the flame failure device with thermocouple watches the flame during use.
Why does the flame not grow when I keep turning the knob?
The valve is a needle valve, so you adjust the output within the first turn. Further turns do not increase the flame.
Can I cook on it in a motorhome or tent?
No. The burner has an open flame, so use it outdoors on a stable and non-flammable surface.
