The exterior frame is made of dimensionally stable, weather-proof ASA plastic. Thus secure bonding and sealing during installation is possible. T operating knob is located on the side, keeping the opening free across the entire surface. When closed, the Thule roof hood provides a continuous forced ventilation of 100 cm². In the development of the Thule skylights, special attention has been paid to a low energy consumption (0.15 – 2.5 amperes) and a silent operation even at high velocities; because of its aerodynamical form, no additional spoiler is needed. Thanks to the embedded hinge with continuous rail and the long protruding exterior capsule, rainwater can drain perfectly. The manual versions have a fly protection screen, the black-out screen which is standard with all versions, can be pulled up in 3 positions. In the ventilator version, the skylight is equipped with 6 ventilation and 3 venting levels, one energy-saving function as well as a comfort mode, the maximum air circulation is 20 m³ per minute. The ventilation kit can be retrofitted to all existing Thule roof hoods. Thanks to the perfect screw-clamping-system, the roof hood can be installed without additional drilling holes into the bodyshell; this provides the best protection against water ingress.Installation dimensions 40 x 40 cm, interior frame 45.8 x 46.2 cm, exterior dimensions 45.9 x 47.2 cm. The height of the closed skylight is 7.8 cm.& Thule skylights are suitable for roof thicknesses of 25 – 60 mm (from a roof thickness of more than 40 cm, the set, item no. 89 342, is required). Materials: exterior frame made of ASA, interior frame made of polystyrene, blind frame made of ABS; hood made of polypropylene.
