Stilo sliding table rail 95 cm for a sliding table in a motorhome or caravan - set with locking rack, bottom rail and tabletop carriers
- Stilo sliding table rail, 95 cm long, for a sliding table in a motorhome, caravan or van. When lifted, the top slides both ways, and when lowered it stays put. The set includes end pieces, locking rack, bottom rail and tabletop carriers.
The Stilo sliding table rail lets you move a tabletop sideways without undoing anything. It is a solution for motorhome, caravan or van interiors, where the table often blocks the way to the seat or the kitchen. At rest the rail is locked horizontally, so the top does not move away while you eat, work on a laptop or play cards. When you want to move it, you lift the edge of the top slightly, slide it to the left or right and lower it again. The set is 95 cm long, 3 cm wide and 1.5 cm high, and it weighs 448 g. It contains all parts of the mechanism: end pieces, locking rack, bottom rail and tabletop carriers.

Key features
- rail length 95 cm
- width 3 cm, height 1.5 cm
- weight 448 g
- the top slides both ways, left and right
- at rest the rail is locked horizontally
- change the position by lifting the top slightly
- set: end pieces, locking rack, bottom rail and tabletop carriers
- for tables in motorhomes, caravans and vans
How the mechanism works
The mechanism consists of two parts that work together. The bottom rail with the slider is fixed to the table base, while the carriers and the rack go under the tabletop. When the top rests freely, the teeth of the rack engage with the slider and block horizontal movement. This keeps the top in place even when someone leans on it or pushes plates across it. To change the position, you lift the top just enough for the teeth to disengage, slide it in the chosen direction and lower it. The top stops in the new place, and the end pieces at both ends of the rail limit the travel, so the top cannot slide off the guide.
What is in the set
- bottom rail, 95 cm long, with slider
- locking rack that fixes the position of the top
- end pieces that close the rail and limit the travel
- tabletop carriers that support the table top
Where it is useful
- In a motorhome with a dinette, where the table has to move aside so you can sit down or get up from the bench comfortably.
- In a caravan, when the top blocks access to the bed, a cupboard or the way to the kitchen.
- In a camper van, where every centimetre counts and the table has to adapt to the situation.
- When you replace an old, worn table guide with a new, complete set.
- In a self-build conversion, when you build the table from scratch and want the top to slide.
Fitting tips
- Before fitting, lay out all parts and check which go under the top and which go on the table base.
- Measure the top and the base. The rail is 95 cm long, so the top should be long enough for the mechanism parts to fit underneath.
- Fit the bottom rail parallel to the edge of the top. A rail fitted at an angle will stick.
- Choose screws to suit the thickness of the top, so they do not come through its upper surface.
- After fitting, lift the top and slide it several times along the full length. Check that it stops firmly in every position after lowering.
- Before driving, lock the top in its travel position or secure it as recommended by the vehicle or furniture maker.
What to check before you buy
- Measure the space under the table. The rail is 95 cm long, 3 cm wide and 1.5 cm high.
- Decide in which direction and how far you want to move the top. The range depends on the rail length and on where you fit the end pieces.
- If you are replacing an old rail, compare its dimensions and hole spacing with the new set.
- The mechanism moves the top horizontally. For height adjustment you need a separate adjustable leg or column.
Care
The rail needs no regular maintenance. Every now and then wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove crumbs and dust that can make sliding harder. Clean food remains off the rack and slider, because dirty teeth do not engage as well. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Every season check that the fixing screws have not come loose from vibration while driving, and tighten them if needed.

Frequently asked questions
How do I move the top on this rail?
Lift the top slightly so the rack disengages, slide it to the left or right and lower it. The top locks in the new position.
Does the top move by itself while eating?
No. At rest the rail is locked horizontally, so the top stays in place until you lift it.
How long is the rail?
The rail is 95 cm long, 3 cm wide and 1.5 cm high. The whole set weighs 448 g.
What is in the set?
The set includes end pieces, locking rack, bottom rail and tabletop carriers, i.e. all parts of the sliding mechanism.
Does the rail adjust the table height?
No, the rail only moves the top horizontally. For height adjustment you need a separate leg or column.
