Thule Omnistor 5003 housing end caps - left and right set, white, for motorhome and caravan

This genuine Thule Omnistor 5003 white cassette end-cap set (left and right) closes both ends of the awning housing. In the Thule spare-parts list it is number 1500601589 (legacy 55442000) and appears as item 8 on the Omnistor 5003 parts diagram. The caps protect the cassette ends and finish a white housing.

What it is for

These main-housing end caps close the left and right ends of the Thule Omnistor 5003 cassette, where the fabric rolls in and the side mechanisms sit.

The set replaces cracked, faded or missing caps during service on a motorhome or caravan. Thule lists it for Omnistor 5003 lengths from 1.90 m to 4.50 m.

They are not front-bezel (lead-rail) end caps and not the end plates that carry the gear. The Omnistor 5003 lead-rail caps are a separate part, and other awning series (6200, 6300, 8000 and so on) use their own cassette caps.

Which awning it fits

The part is specified only for Thule Omnistor 5003. Confirm the model on the label inside the cassette - Thule prints the series there.

The white finish matches a white cassette. Anodised (silver-grey) and anthracite sets are listed separately below. Do not mix cap colour with cassette colour.

We do not claim fitment on Omnistor 5002, 5000 or other series. If you are unsure, compare your cap with item 8 on the Thule 5003 parts diagram or ask us before ordering.

Fitting

1. Confirm that the awning is an Omnistor 5003 with a white housing.
2. Identify the left and right caps in the set - both sides are included.
3. Remove the damaged cap. Spare-part distributors describe fitting by undoing the fixing screw, then fitting the new cap.
4. Refit the fastener and check that the cap sits flush on the cassette end and does not foul the fabric roll.
5. Repeat on the other side. Open and close the awning while parked to make sure nothing rubs on the caps.

Before you buy

Confirm the Omnistor 5003 model and the cassette colour. A white cap does not replace an anthracite or anodised set. Also check whether you need cassette caps (this card) or front-bezel caps - they are different Thule part numbers. This part is 1500601589.

Care

Clean the plastic caps with a soft cloth and a mild cleaner. Avoid solvents that can dull the surface. When washing the vehicle, do not aim a pressure washer straight into the joint between cap and cassette. After strong wind or branch contact, check for cracks and that the screws still hold.
