Dometic PerfectView CAM 80 AHD is a compact colour shutter camera for PerfectView rear-view systems (catalogue number 9600012923, EAN 4015704272628). A motor-operated cover protects the lens from dirt and stone chips. The camera uses a 1/2.9" CMOS sensor with approx. 2,000,000 pixels, a picture angle of approx. 120° diagonal and protection class IP69K. What it is for

CAM 80 AHD shows the space behind or beside the vehicle on a PerfectView AHD monitor while you reverse, pitch or hitch.

The motor cover keeps the lens protected when the camera is not in use, which helps on dusty roads and during rain.

Use it as part of a PerfectView AHD system with monitors such as M 55L AHD or M 75L AHD, following both manuals for wiring and picture mode.

Installation notes

1. Choose a mounting point with a clear rear or side view and allow space for the motor cover to open.
2. Disconnect the vehicle negative terminal before wiring. Follow the vehicle and PerfectView wiring diagrams.
3. Route the 20 m system cable so it cannot chafe on sharp edges and seal any body penetrations after testing.
4. Connect the 11-16 V DC supply and the AHD video line to a compatible PerfectView monitor.
5. After fitting, check shutter movement, day/night picture and mirrored or normal mode on the monitor.

CAM 80 AHD versus CAM 80 NAV

Safe use

• A rear-view camera is only an aid. It does not replace careful reversing or mirror checks.
• Operating temperature: -20 to +70°C.
• IP69K covers outdoor use; still seal cable glands against water ingress.
• Disconnect the battery negative terminal before electrical work to avoid short circuits and airbag faults.
• Do not block the shutter or mount the camera where it can hit people or obstacles when open.

Care

Clean the housing and lens with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use aggressive solvents or abrasive pads. Keep the shutter free of ice and dirt so the motor cover can open and close. Disconnect the supply before cleaning.
