Dometic PerfectView M 55L AHD is a 5" digital LCD monitor (approx. 12.7 cm) with Analog High Definition (AHD) technology and bright LED backlighting (catalogue number 9600012882). The flat, compact screen is the core of many PerfectView rear-view systems: you can connect up to three cameras, save separate picture settings for each input and enable automatic trailer-camera recognition. What it is for
M 55L AHD shows the picture from reversing cameras and other video sources in the cab. When you manoeuvre or park it gives a permanent view of the space behind the vehicle, and with several cameras it lets you switch between side and rear views.
The monitor is intended primarily for vehicles. In practice it is fitted in motorhomes, camper vans and caravans when you need a bright, high-contrast AHD picture for pitching, hitching or avoiding obstacles and prefer a compact 5" screen.
You can set a normal or mirrored picture separately for each camera so left and right on the screen match what you expect from a rear-view mirror or a camera view.
Installation notes
- Fit the monitor stand where the driver can see it clearly, using the supplied installation mat and following the vehicle instructions.
- Route the connection cable so it cannot chafe on sharp edges and does not foul airbags or moving parts.
- Connect the 12/24 V DC supply and PerfectView cameras as shown in the wiring diagram. Monitor consumption is max. 10 W; allow for higher current when cameras run heaters.
- Set picture mode (normal / mirrored) separately for each camera input and check trailer-camera recognition if you use a trailer camera.
- After fitting, check camera switching, day/night brightness and readability in daylight.

M 55L AHD versus other PerfectView monitors
M 55L AHD has a compact 5" screen and brightness of approx. 350 cd/m2. If you need a larger display from the same AHD series, M 75L AHD (7", approx. 800 cd/m2) is the matching option. Match PerfectView AHD cameras using Dometic compatibility notes and both manuals.

- A rear-view system is only an aid. It does not replace careful reversing or mirror checks.
- Operating temperature: -20 to +70°C. Storage: -30 to +70°C.
- IP40 covers cabin use - do not mount the monitor outside the vehicle.
- ECE R10 approval covers the device; road-traffic rules still apply.
- Do not block the field of view or airbags with the monitor stand.
Care
Wipe the screen with a soft, damp cloth without aggressive solvents or sharp objects. Disconnect the supply before cleaning to avoid short circuits. Keep connectors dry and clean. For long idle periods, isolate the supply as described for your vehicle.
