Truma wall cowl set ZR 80 (no. 36240-01) is a kit for building the wall cowl of a Truma Combi (E) gas heater. It contains the cowl inner part, 1.1 m of exhaust duct, 1 m of combustion air intake duct and clamps. The cowl outer part in your chosen colour is bought separately: cream white (36151-01), bianco (36151-05), light grey (36151-08), black (36151-09), anthracite (36151-10).

What is in the set
- ZR 80 cowl inner part with clamps
- 1.1 m exhaust duct (Truma AA 3, Ø 55 mm)
- 1 m combustion air intake duct (Truma ZR 80, Ø 80 mm)
- duct clamps
- without the cowl outer part - it has to be ordered separately
Which heaters
- Truma Combi (E) gas heaters, e.g. Combi 4, Combi 6, Combi 4 E, Combi 6 E
- listed by Truma among the Combi (E) accessories
- for the next generation Combi D (E) Truma provides a separate Combi D duct set with exhaust silencer; from this family only the ZR 80 inner part and the black or anthracite outer part are used
- a longer duct run (up to 200 cm of intake duct) requires additional AA 3 and ZR 80 ducts and ZRS clamps
How the wall cowl works
- duct in duct system: exhaust gas flows out through the inner AA 3 duct, combustion air is drawn in through the space between the ducts
- the cowl exits through the side wall of the vehicle, no roof opening needed
- the outer part covers the outlet and determines how the cowl looks on the wall
Installing the wall cowl according to Truma instructions
- the cowl is installed with the arrow pointing up, on an even wall surface around which wind can flow from all sides
- drill a Ø 83 mm hole in the wall; line any cavities around the hole with wood
- the cowl is sealed with a rubber seal; on textured surfaces also use flexible body sealant - not silicone
- the inner part is fixed with 6 screws, the outer part is fitted onto it and fixed with 2 screws B 3.5 x 25
- the AA 3 exhaust duct (Ø 55 mm) must be 10% longer than the ZR 80 combustion air intake duct (Ø 80 mm)
- a ZR 80 duct of 60-100 cm may rise or fall by max. 20 cm, a duct of 100-200 cm may only rise
- ducts longer than 60 cm are fixed to the wall with at least one ZRS clamp
- keep at least 10 mm between the exhaust system and heat-sensitive parts
For the Combi exhaust system Truma only permits original parts: AA 3 exhaust duct (39320-00), ZR 80 combustion air intake duct (39580-00) and clamps - the appliance is tested and approved only with these. Installation and inspection of the gas system should be carried out by an authorised specialist.
