LILIE Winter Ban 3.78 l drinking water antifreeze - propylene glycol, down to -45°C, for motorhomes and boats
- LILIE Winter Ban 3.78 l: propylene glycol fluid for winterising drinking water, toilet and cooling water systems in motorhomes and boats. Protects down to -45°C undiluted and lubricates the pump and valves.
LILIE Winter Ban is a fluid for winterising drinking and fresh water systems in boats and motorhomes. After emptying the fresh water tank you simply pour it in through the filler neck, so there is no need to drain every component or remove parts. It protects drinking water, toilet and cooling water systems against frost damage down to -45°C, prevents corrosion, deposits and algae and lubricates the pump and valves. It is odourless, tasteless and non-toxic.

How it works
- contains propylene glycol, no toxic ethylene glycol
- at around 0°C it starts to crystallise and turns into a spongy mass that does not expand
- protects pipes, pump, valves, taps and toilet against bursting
- suitable for most copper, brass and plastic lines and compatible with LILIE drinking water hoses

Dosage (3.8 l bottle)
- undiluted: protection down to -45°C, 3.8 l in total
- 1 : 0.5 with water: down to -30°C, 5.7 l in total
- 1 : 1 with water: down to -20°C, 7.6 l in total
- 1 : 1.5 with water: down to -15°C, 9.5 l in total
- 1 : 2 with water: down to -10°C, 11.3 l in total
How many bottles
- vehicle or boat up to 6 m: 2 bottles, protection down to -20°C (approx. 15 l of mixture)
- 6 to 9 m: 3 bottles, protection down to -20°C (approx. 22.5 l of mixture)
- over 9 m and holiday homes: 3 bottles or more
- figures assume the water heater is bypassed
Winterising step by step
- shut off the water supply, open all taps and fully drain the tank and system
- close the taps, switch off the pump, remove the filter cartridge and drain the water heater
- fill the tank with the Winter Ban and water mixture (at least 10 l)
- open each tap in turn, starting with the one nearest the tank, until the fluid comes out, then close it
- flush the toilet until only Winter Ban flows, close all taps and drains and switch off the pump
After winter
- rinse the tank thoroughly and fill it with water
- open the taps, switch on the pump and let the water run until it is no longer coloured
- after a longer break the manufacturer recommends disinfecting the drinking water system
Important
- not for consumption
- avoid contact with skin and eyes, keep away from children
- not intended for water systems in use, engine cooling circuits or closed heating systems
- full protection down to -45°C only when undiluted, so all water must be removed from the system
- useful for winter: CKW winter drain valve, LILIE Ultraheat tank heater, LILIE frost protection tank heater, LILIE WeißGELB drinking water hose
