2-Way Ball Valve for 13 mm Hose - Plastic Shut-Off Tap for Water Lines in Motorhomes, Caravans and Boats
- Plastic ball valve with two hose barbs for 13 mm hose. Fit it into the line and shut off the water flow with a quarter turn of the lever. For motorhomes, caravans, boats and camper vans.
The 2-way ball valve for 13 mm hose is a simple tap that you fit into a water line to shut off the flow whenever you need. It has two barbed ends for hose with a 13 mm inner diameter and a green lever. It is handy in a motorhome, caravan, boat and anywhere water runs through a hose rather than a rigid pipe.

Shut off the water in one move
- two barbed ends for hose with a 13 mm inner diameter
- ball valve, opened and closed with a 90° turn of the lever
- green lever, position visible at a glance
- lightweight plastic body
- fits into the line without special tools, hose clamps are enough
The valve needs no threads, so you can fit it anywhere in an existing hose: just cut the hose and push both ends over the valve barbs.
How a ball valve works
Inside the valve body there is a ball with a bore. When the lever is in line with the valve, the bore lines up with the channel and water flows freely. Turning the lever by 90° sets the ball across the channel and shuts off the flow completely. You close the valve with one movement and can see at a glance from the lever whether it is open or closed.
Where it works well
- drain of the fresh or grey water tank in motorhomes and caravans
- shutting off part of the installation for repairs or winter storage
- a line between two tanks when you want to control the transfer of water
- water systems on boats and in holiday cabins
- simple garden and workshop setups with 13 mm hose
Installation
- Use a hose with an inner diameter of 13 mm.
- Cut the hose square and push it over the whole length of the barbed end.
- Secure the joint with a hose clamp.
- Position the valve so that the lever is easy to reach and does not catch on the interior.
- After installation fill the system and check for leaks with the valve open and closed.
Choosing the size
What matters is the inner diameter of the hose. This valve fits 13 mm hose, the common 1/2" hose. For thinner lines choose the 10 mm version, for thicker ones the 20 mm version. If you want to screw the valve onto a threaded outlet, pick the model with a ring nut and one hose barb.

Frequently asked questions
Which hose does this valve fit?
Hose with an inner diameter of 13 mm. Push the hose over the barbed end and secure it with a hose clamp.
How do I know if the valve is closed?
From the lever position. When the lever is in line with the valve, water flows. When it is across the valve, the flow is shut off.
Can I screw it onto a thread?
No, this model has two hose barbs. To mount it on a 1/2" thread choose the valve with a ring nut and a 13 mm hose barb.
Do I need hose clamps?
Yes, we recommend them on every joint. A clamp stops the hose from slipping off and leaking, especially while driving.
