The Berker Integro off switch is a flat insert with a single rocker that turns the lighting or a chosen circuit on and off in your motorhome, caravan or camper van. It measures 55.5 x 55.5 mm, like all other inserts of the Integro range, and has a mounting depth of only 10 mm. The wires are held in screw terminals, and the matt anthracite finish matches the sockets, USB sockets and Integro frames in the same colour. This lets you combine the switch with a 230 V socket or a USB charger in one panel and keep a consistent look across your interior.

The insert is a base element with a central plate. Its edges are covered by an Integro frame that you choose separately: a 1-gang frame or a multiple frame.

The Berker Integro system in motorhomes and caravans

Integro is a modular Berker switch range made for leisure vehicles and vehicle interiors. All inserts share the same size of 55.5 x 55.5 mm, and the range includes switches, 230 V sockets, USB sockets and 1-gang, 2-gang and 3-gang frames. You can build a panel with a light switch, a Schuko socket and a USB socket in one frame. The small mounting depth makes installation easier in thin walls, furniture and panels, where a standard household switch often does not fit.

What the switch is useful for

A single rocker switch is suitable for one circuit, for example the light above the table, a reading light next to the bed, the lighting in the rear garage or another load. The manufacturer specifies a rated voltage of 250 V, a rated current of 10 A and a switching current of 10 AX with an LED load of up to 100 W. When planning the circuit, check the current drawn by the loads and the fuse of your installation, so that you stay within the values given by the manufacturer. The switch has no illumination, so it draws no standby current.

Frame and installation

The switch is an insert with a central plate, so you need a frame from the Integro range to complete it. A 1-gang frame covers the edges of one insert, while a 2-gang or 3-gang frame lets you place several devices next to each other. You mount the insert flush, with a mounting depth of 10 mm, or 13 mm in a flush box. The mounting diameter is 50 mm. If there is no room for a box in the wall or the panel is too thin, you can surface mount the switch with the Integro spacer ring, which moves the insert 10 mm in front of the wall surface.

Protection class and damp areas

In standard installation the switch is intended for dry areas inside the vehicle. You get the splash-proof IP44 version only together with a Berker seal and a frame marked IP44. Without these parts, do not install the switch outside the vehicle, in the shower or in places exposed to splashing water.

Installation step by step

• Switch off the power to the circuit you are connecting the switch to.
• Prepare a 50 mm hole and a box, or a spacer ring for surface mounting.
• Connect the wires to the screw terminals according to the wiring diagram and tighten them.
• Place the insert in the opening and fix it with screws through the holes in the plate.
• Fit an Integro frame, a 1-gang or a multiple one.
• Switch the power back on and test the switch. Work on a 230 V installation should be done by a qualified electrician.
