BlueCraft control knob for gas stool burner - black, 4.2 cm, replacement valve knob for output control of 3- and 4-leg boiling rings
- Replacement black BlueCraft valve knob for 3- and 4-leg gas stool burners. You use it to control the burner output, it has a diameter of 4.2 cm and weighs 10 g.
The BlueCraft control knob is an original spare part for BlueCraft gas stool burners, also called boiling rings, in the three-leg and four-leg versions. You fit it onto the spindle of the gas valve and use it to control the burner output, from full flame to a low flame. The knob is made of black plastic, has a diameter of 4.2 cm and a height of 2.5 cm, and a clear grip fin that also shows the valve position. There are markings on the rim: a white dot and a flame symbol. It comes in handy when the old knob has cracked, got lost or turns on the spindle.

Key features
- spare part for BlueCraft 3- and 4-leg gas stool burners
- for burner output control
- black plastic
- grip fin that shows the valve position
- markings on the rim: white dot and flame symbol
- diameter 4.2 cm, height 2.5 cm, weight 10 g
What the knob does
The knob transfers the movement of your hand to the spindle of the gas valve. On BlueCraft stool burners with a flame failure device you first press and turn it so that gas flows to the burner, and after ignition you keep it pressed for several seconds until the flame has heated the thermocouple. Then you release the knob and turn it to set the flame size. That is why the knob must sit firmly on the spindle and must not turn or slip on it. When it is cracked or worn, the control becomes imprecise and pressing the valve during ignition can be difficult.
When to replace the knob
- The knob has cracked, the grip fin has broken off or it broke when the burner was dropped.
- It turns on the spindle and the flame does not change.
- It slips off the spindle when you press it or carry the burner.
- It got lost during transport or storage.
- The markings are worn and the valve position is hard to read.
Replacement step by step
- Close the cylinder valve and wait until the burner has cooled down completely. The knob and valve near the burner can be hot.
- Check the position of the old knob with the valve closed and remember it.
- Remove the old knob by pulling it straight towards you, without twisting it sideways.
- Inspect the valve spindle. Remove dirt and any plastic left from the old knob.
- Align the new knob so that the shape of its hole matches the shape of the spindle, and push it on as far as it goes.
- Check that the knob can be pressed and turned, and that it springs back when released.
- Open the cylinder valve, light the burner as usual and check the flame control from full output to a low flame.
Choosing the right part
The knob fits BlueCraft gas stool burners with three and four legs. Before ordering, compare your old knob with the photo and the dimensions: diameter 4.2 cm, height 2.5 cm, grip fin and markings on the rim. Valve spindles on burners from other brands have different diameters and shapes, so for another brand first check that the hole of the knob matches the spindle.
Safety and care
- Replace the knob only with the cylinder closed and the burner cold.
- Do not use the burner without a knob. Without it you cannot control the flame or reliably close the valve.
- Do not force the knob on or turn it with pliers, as this damages the valve spindle.
- Clean the knob with a damp cloth and a little washing-up liquid. Do not use solvents.
- After cooking, check that the knob is in the closed position.
