Carbest Mobile Portable Gas Water Heater 30 mbar - Instant Camping Shower 25-50°C with 12 V Pump

Carbest Mobile is a portable instant gas water heater that delivers warm water from a tap or shower head wherever you have a propane or butane cylinder and a water container. A 12 V submersible pump draws water from the container, a 5 kW burner heats it as it flows, and you set the temperature smoothly with the gas knob. This is the 30 mbar version. It is meant for washing and cleaning outdoors - next to the motorhome, at the campsite, on the beach or after a bike ride. It is not intended for drinking water.

How it works

• the unit raises the water temperature by an average of about 25°C above the source water
• the 12 V pump in the container pushes water through the heat exchanger
• the gas knob on top sets the burner output and so the temperature
• if the water is not warm enough, run it back into the container and through the heater again
• the flow switch on the shower head stops the water at any time - the burner goes out while the pump keeps running
• when you reopen the flow, the burner relights within about 5 seconds

Setting up and starting

• place the unit outdoors on a solid, level, non-combustible surface
• straighten all hoses so they are not twisted or kinked
• connect the pump to the water inlet and to the socket marked "pump"
• connect the gas hose and regulator to the gas inlet and the cylinder, tighten with a spanner
• open the cylinder valve and check for leaks with soapy water - never with a flame
• fold out the tap, attach the shower head and plug the 12 V lead into "DC input"
• put the pump into clean water - do not take water straight from rivers, lakes or the sea
• switch on: water flows within about 20 seconds and the electronic ignition lights the burner
• always check the water temperature before use, as it can be very hot

Safety according to the manufacturer

• use outdoors only with natural ventilation - never inside a motorhome, caravan, car, tent or under an awning
• the unit produces odourless carbon monoxide; using it in enclosed spaces can cause death
• keep at least 800 mm from combustible materials and people at the sides and above
• the flame goes out in wind above 10 km/h - set the unit up in a sheltered spot
• use only a CE approved gas hose and regulator matching 30 mbar
• the installation must meet the regulations of the country of use; ask a specialist if in doubt
• do not modify the unit or use adaptors for other cylinders
• never leave it running unattended and keep children away - the housing gets hot
• service and repairs by an authorised agent only
• after use disconnect the cylinder and store the unit in a dry, ventilated place
