What it is for
CAM 18 NAV watches the area behind or beside the vehicle. The approx. 140° diagonal angle gives a wide view when manoeuvring, and the compact ball housing makes aiming easy.
The camera is intended for vehicles. In practice it is fitted on motorhomes or caravans as a rear or side camera.
Image and sound go to a multimedia or navigation display via the NAV adapter, or to a separate PerfectView monitor, depending on the wiring setup you choose.
Installation notes
- Fit the camera bracket on a rigid surface as described in the manual and aim the ball so the required zone is in frame.
- Route the cable to the cab so it cannot chafe on sharp edges or foul moving parts.
- Connect the camera and NAV adapter to a 12 V DC supply and to the display as shown in the wiring diagram.
- When testing circuits, use a diode test lamp or a voltmeter.
- After fitting, check the picture, microphone and LED performance in low light.

CAM 18 NAV versus other PerfectView cameras
CAM 18 NAV is a compact ball camera with a NAV adapter and a 140° angle. The other colour is available as PerfectView CAM 18. If you need a 120° aluminium camera with a heater, choose the CAM 45 NAV series.
Safe use
- A rear-view system is only an aid. It does not replace careful reversing or mirror checks.
- Operating temperature: -20 to +70°C.
- The housing is IP69K, but seal mounting holes only as the manual describes.
- Road-traffic rules still apply.
Care
Wipe the lens and housing with a soft, damp cloth without aggressive solvents. Keep connectors dry and clean. After washing the vehicle, check that dirt is not blocking the LEDs or lens.
