Thule Slide-Out Step G2 12V 700 is an electric slide-out step in a version made specifically for the Fiat Ducato, Citroen Jumper and Peugeot Boxer from 2007 onwards. It is mounted under the sliding door, and at the press of a switch a 12 V motor extends the 707 mm wide step and retracts it back under the floor. This makes getting into your motorhome or van lower and more comfortable, and the step does not stick out while you drive. A separate Ducato mounting kit is needed for installation.

How the step works
The step consists of a housing bolted under the sliding door sill and an extending footboard. The scissor mechanism is moved by a 12 V motor powered from the vehicle electrical system. Press the switch to extend the step before getting in, and press it again to retract it before you drive off.
The step has a built-in switch to which you can connect a warning lamp in the cab. The lamp reminds you that the step is still out before you set off. Thule also offers a relay that retracts the step automatically when the vehicle engine is started.
If there is no power, for example with a flat battery, you can push the step in by hand without tools. Brushes at the housing opening wipe dust and sand off the footboard every time it retracts, and a well thought-out cable outlet keeps water and dust out.
Which vehicles it fits
This version of the step is designed for the Fiat Ducato and its twin models Citroen Jumper and Peugeot Boxer built from 2007 onwards. The housing depth is chosen so that the step also fits vehicles with Euro 6d-Temp engines, which have different components under the floor.
For installation you need the Thule mounting kit for the Ducato (manufacturer number 301877). The kit is meant only for G2 steps in the Ducato version and does not fit the standard G2 step or the Crafter version. For the Volkswagen Crafter and MAN TGE Thule offers a separate version of the step.

No. Installation requires a separate Thule mounting kit for the Fiat Ducato, Citroen Jumper and Peugeot Boxer. You will find it in the accessories section above.
Does this step fit the VW Crafter?
No. This version is meant for the Ducato, Jumper and Boxer from 2007. For the Crafter and MAN TGE Thule makes a separate version of the step with a different mounting kit.
What if the step does not retract without power?
You can push the step in by hand, without tools. Then check the fuse and the 12 V supply.
How do I avoid driving off with the step out?
