The VOTRONIC Fresh Water Tank Display S (article no. 5311) is a panel tank level display for fresh water tanks in motorhomes, caravans and boats. The level is shown by a 10-LED light bar in three colours. The display is stepless: intermediate levels are shown by varying LED brightness, so the reading is finer than with typical stepped displays. It works in 12 V and 24 V systems and with tanks of any material and size, provided a suitable Votronic capacitive tank sender is connected. As part of the S series it matches other Votronic S panels, such as the battery tester, LCD displays and switch and fuse panels.

Operation
- press the button: all LEDs light briefly (100% test), then the current level is shown
- press again to switch off
- with an empty tank the lowest LED glows dimly, so you can see the display is working
- after 10 minutes the display switches off by itself and does not drain the battery

Installation, wiring and related products
- panel cut-out slightly larger than 29 x 62 mm, the panel is fixed with the screws supplied
- cover the rear opening of the panel with insulating material
- terminals: 1 - battery minus, 2 - battery plus, 4 - sender signal, 5 - sender supply (plus, switched)
- cable cross-section 0.5-1.5 mm², terminal tightening torque 0.5 Nm
- manufacturer tip: two tanks can share one display via a 2 x UM switch (e.g. Votronic switch panel 16 A S, no. 1289, or 2 x 16 A S, no. 1291)
- do not clean the panel with solvents

Questions and answers
Does the display work without a sender?
No. A Votronic capacitive tank sender is required, e.g. sender K 15-50 cm (no. 5545) or K 12-24 cm (no. 5543), chosen to match the tank height.
Is it suitable for 24 V systems?
Yes. The display works at 12 V and 24 V, in the range 10-32 V.
Does the display drain the battery?
When off it draws about 1 mA, and once switched on it turns itself off after 10 minutes.
Does it work with a metal tank?
Yes. The display works with tanks of all materials, provided a suitable Votronic sender is used.
